Read blueprints, drawings, sketches to fully grasp requirements. Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed. Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements using hand tools and power tools. Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials and preconstructed items. Lay out flooring, roofing or drywall ensuring they are leveled and compatible. Carve assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated. Inspects places and conduct repairs or maintenance. Build scaffolding and other construction structures.
*Special wage rate: Work to be performed on DPRI-funded projects and projects covered by Davis-Bacon, Service Contracts Act, and/or Executive Order 14206 will be paid no less than the indicated wage rate but may be paid more where special rates apply.
